FREE Deterra Pouch Requests

 

Medication Safety Starts with You

The Garrett County Health Deparment offers free Deterra pouches to dispose of unused or unwanted medications at home safely. These

pouches are easy to use, enviormentally friendly, and help protect your household and community.

How to Get Your Free Pouches:

Pick up in person: Visit Room 206 on the top level of the Garrett County Health Department, Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM.

Can’t pick up in person? Email Program Coordinator Shannon Sexton at Shannon.Sexton@maryland.gov to make alternate arrangements.

 

 

Proper Disposal of Medications:

You need to dispose of any unused or expired prescription medicine as soon as possible. Timely disposal of prescription medicine can reduce the risk of others taking the medication accidentally or misusing the medication intentionally.
